The purposes of this study were to investigate theknowledge and attitude toward sex of Mathayom Suksa Sixstudents, and also to compare the students' knowledge andattitude between males and females. Five hundred students,228 males and females 272 of Mathayom Suksa Six, from 78high schools in Bangkok Metropolis were randomly sampled.Students were asked to respond to the questionnairesconstructed by the researcher. Almost all of thequestionnaires, accounting for 97.8 percent, were returnedand then analyzed in terms of percentage, mean, and standarddeviation. A t-test was applied to determine the significantdifferences at .05 level. The findings were as follows : 1. The students' knowledge toward sex was at the"good" level. Students' knowledge was lower than the minimumcriteria in the location of fertilization, the adaptation ofcriteria and the principles of personal ddjustment. Femalestudents' knowledge concerning sex was significantly betterthan those of male students' at .05 level. 2. The students' attitude toward sex was at the "good"level. Female students' attitude toward sex wassignificantly better than those of male students' at .05level. |
