This research is aimed at studying the quantity withemphasis on the requirement of demand of the welfare on thehousing compared with the number of eligible persons and thenumber of housing buildings currently in existence, togetherwith the recommendations for the guidelines for constructionof housing welfare project. Results of research reyealed that the number of unitsof the housing welfare buildings currently available couldprovide only 34.38% of the demand generated by the totalnumber of officials, and premanent employees who areeligible to stay in the housing welfare and have submitedthe requests, and 7.91% of the total number of officials andemployees who are elibible to stay in the housing welfarebuilding according to the regulations of The BangkokMetropolitan Authority (B.M.A.). Concerning the of housingwelfare buildings by officials and permanent employees ofThe Bangkok Metropolitan Authority, B.E. 2538. In addition,it is anticipated in another 5 years more, The BangkokMetropolitan Authority shall be able to provide up to 18.21%of the demand generated by the anticipated number ofeligible persons. The Bangkok Metropolitan Authority should give theimportance to the housing welfare project, because it is theassistance to alleviat the problem of homeless to this lowincome officials and permenent employees of The BangkokMetropolitan Authority, and this policy should be the mainpolicy to implement the project continuously. The construction of housing welfare consists ofseveral points for consideration, viz. The first point isthe procuring of suitable land to the housing welfareproject. The second point is that The Bangkok MetropolitanAuthority should increase the budget for construction tocope with the increasing demand, and last but not least isto request the co-operation from The National HousingAuthority of to assign the private sector to undertake suchprojects in the form of "Turnkey Project". |
