The purposes of the research were to compare theknowledge and writing ability in Thai languagepersuasive,comparison and narrative writings ofmathayom suksa thrEd students in government and privateschools in Bangkok Metropolis. The subjects were 200government school students and 200 private schoolstudents in the 1997 academic year selected by amulti-stage random sampling technique. The instrumentsused in this study were a test of knowledge andwriting ability in Thai language persuasive,comparisonand narrative writings constructed by researcher. Thecontent validity of the test was approved by 3 expertsThe arithmetic mean percentage,standard diviation andt-test were used for data analysis The result of the research revealed that 1. The students in government schools hadknowledge in Thai language persuasive,comparison andnarrative writing higher than the students in privateschools at the 0.05 level of significance. 2. The students in government schools had abilityin Thai language persuasive, comparison and narrativewriting higher than the students in private schools atthe 0.05 level of significance. |
