The objectives of the research aimed at the productivity improvementand loss-reduction that were occured in the process of a finger joint boardfactory. It was found from the study that the problems of low production andproduction loss were due to the problem of labour force, plant lay-out,machines and materials. From the mentioned problems, the solutions wereproposed to improve the productivity by using the management systems asfollows : 1. Labour force ; job discriminatation, the arrangement of labourcost system. 2. Plant layout; the taking of machines and work in process that werenot used out of line process, rearrangement of Plant layout. 3. Machinery; continuous corrctive maintenance of broken machines,started up preventive maintenance for 6 machines. 4. Raw materials ; quality control of raw material, the arrangementof the system of raw material size selection. In conclusion, after studying in order to increase the productivitywhich were accomplished by the mentioned managements. It was clearly foundthat the productivity was increased from 62.02 to 106.47 m('3) which wasequal to 71.76 %. Most of all the factory has gain profit 297,593.32 baht /month after the studying and using the suggested management system whereasduring the studying period the factory loss 1,521,108.21 baht/ month. |
