Use of Spirulina and Tilapia as biological treatment for low salinityshrimp culture was conducted using 3x3 completely randomized designinvolved factorials. Three concentration of ~iSpirulina platensis~i 0,4.2x10('8) and 8.4x10('8) trichome/L and 3 densities of tilapia were used intreatment combination for controlling water quality in low salinity shrimpculture. The experiments were conducted of salinity 5 ppt with 150 litresexperimental unit. The culture systems was one water and outdoor. During 3months of experiment, nutrients such as NH(,4)-N, NO(,2)-N, NO(,3)-N andPO(,4)-P and chlorophyll were determined every two days. Water temperaturepH, DO, salinity and light intensity were determine daily. The resultsindicated that a treatment with ~iSpirulina platensis~i 8.4x10('8)trichome/L and 3 tilapias gave a better reduction of nitrate concentrationwhile a treatment with results showed that the cultured tank with ~iSpirulinaplatensis~i 8.4 x 10('8) trichome/L and 3 tilapias reduced the most nitrateconcentration while the treatment with ~iSpirulina platensis~i 8.4x10('8)trichome/L and no tilapia could give better control of Phosphate during thewhole culture period of ~iPenaeus monodon~i. The results indicated that atreatment with ~iSpirulina platensis~i 8.4 x 10('8) trichome/L gave betteryield of ~iPenaeus monodon~i than other treatment without ~iSpirulinaplatensis.~i |
