The objective of this research was to construct and try out an environmental education training program, on natural resource conservation for lower secondary school students. The steps of research were as follows: 1. Preparation for construction of the training curriculum by surveying the needs of the training with 300 students of a sample group. 2. Construction of the training curriculum that composed of general objectives, specific objectives, and behavioral objectives, concept of environmental education, scope and content, experimental arrangement in the training course, process of training, pattern of measurement and evaluation. 3. Training and evaluation of the training curriculum with the sample group, who were 30 lower secondary school students from 6 schools that had a boundary connected to Khao noi-Khao pradu Non-hunting Area, Phitsanulok province for 2 days. The evaluation of training was done by using a questionnaire of knowledge as a test, and attitude measurement both before and after the training course was established with form, also asking about of satisfaction with the training. The research results found that the participants of the training course had a knowledge and attitude increase towards natural resource conservation statistically significant at a level of 0.05. Recommendations are that the activities of group relations and activity supplements for training plans create a better learning atmosphere, so they should be encouraged during the training course arrangement, and that the activities must have clear objectives, and be congruent to the content in each topic of training. |
