The purpose of this clinical study was to develop individualisedearly intervention plan for children with Down Syndrome in The Growth andDevelopment Unit, at Chulalongkorn Hospital. A single - subject design wasapplied on eight participants: three who received treatment ("treatmentgroup") and five who did not receive treatment (pseudo - control group")The Hawali Early Learning Profile (HELP) was used to design treatments andto measure outcomes. Results from the study suggested that the earlyintervention treatment programs were effective. After six months, all threeDown Syndrome participants performed more target behaviors and faster thantheir pseudo- controls in every developmental area. |
