The purposes of this study were to compare the science learning achievement and the creative thinking in science of Mathayom Suksa Two students by using cooperative learning and traditional learning method. The sample of this study consisted of 60 Mathayom Suksa Two students studying in the first semester of the academic year 1995 at Nabon School, Nakornsrithammarat. Thirty students in the experimental group were taught the topie Good Earth by using cooperative learning method. Another thirty students in the control group were taught the same topic by using traditional learning method. The research design was Pretest - Posttest Control Group Design. The instruments were the lesson plans, the science learning achievement test (reliability = .79) and the creative thinking in science test (reliability = .67). T-test was used in the statistical data analysis. The results of this study were 1) the science learning achievement of the experimental and control group were significantly different at .05 level, 2) the creative thinking in science of the experimental and control group were not significantly different at .05 level. |
