The objectives of the study are to study thelocation, and the distribution of types and locationsof industries in Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya Provinces, toanalyse the advantages and disadvantages of industrialdevelopment, and to recommend guidelines on land useplan for urban development and industrial developmentin Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provinces. The study discovered that three-forth of theindustries located in the lower part of the province Ondistric level they are Bang Pa-in, Wang Noi Bang Sai,Uthai, and Sena. These areas are mostly rice field wetland and historical settlement. Some of these areas aretherefore for industrial use prohibited such as, BangPa-in and Bang Sai District. The distribution of theindustry can be categorized into 4 groups as follow :first, River side industrial zone in Tha Rua and BangPa-in District, Secondly Industrial zone along railwayin Bang Pa-In and Tha Rua District, Thirdly Industrialzone along major highways in Bang Pa-In, Wang Noi, Senaand Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District. Plannedpromotion industrial zone such as Bang Pa-In IndustrialEstate, Hi-Tech, Saha Rattana Nakorn, and RojanaIndustrial Estates are the fourth group has the largestnumber investment service industry and concentrationPhra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, have high growthrates. The electronic and automobile part manufacturingwhich are located in Rojana Industrial Park. The growthof industry in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provinceresulted both positive and negative effects. The guideline for land use planning of industrialdevelopment. In order to minimized the negative effectshas designated the appropriate location. The industriallocation should be the areas that are not suitable foragriculture, without flood problem, accessible to thepublic infrastructure, and finally, without restrictionfor industrial development. The following areas to meetthe above conditions are, The areas along the railwayline in Nakorn Luang District and Pachee District aresuitable for agro-industry. The areas along Pa SakRiver and railway line in Ta Rau District are suitablefor warehouse. And the existing areas in industrialestates will be suitatble for less bolluted industrialexpansion e.g. electronics industry, automobile-partsindustry. This study recommends that new industriesshould be located in industry estates, industry parksand proposed new industrial areas closed to theexisting industrial zones. Industries outside theindustrial estates should be controlled in order toprevent the spill over effects into agricultural areasas well as historical site and areas that areenvironmental sensitive. This can be done by providingadequate infrastructure and facilities and designatedgreen areas to be functioned as buffer zones. |
