Thairath and Kao Sod are considered therepresentatives of quantitative newspapers, whilst Thai Post and Matichonrepresent the qualitative newspapers. The result of this research found that newspapers also present otherissues irrelevant to election. However, within the election issues, theyfocus on predicting the election result as they have done in the past. Theymainly display the survey results in news format from ABAC Poll, DusitPoll, Bangkok Poll, and Pranakorn Poll. Regarding the completeness andpreciseness of the poll, none of the daily newspaper provides it.Basically, they would rather tell the result of poll from their informationanalysis. For the criteria of selecting and reporting the result of pollsurvey, newspapers choose from the contradiction occurring in society orthe situations being interested by population. In terms of credibility, itis found that they can build trustworthiness since the poll result issubstantially consistent with the real situation. |
